It all started in 1810 “auf der Wiesn” at the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Therese from Sachsen and now stands for the world’s largest beer festival. Bavaria’s largest breweries have their own tents there, thousands of people run around in their lederhosen and dirndls and party their way into October with “a Mass-Bier and a Schweinsbraten”.
We’ll take a little break from extra large beers and follow the Sound of Music in and around Salzburg before we head further into the Alps for some alpine adventure. We’ll head downhill on one of Europe’s longest Alpine Coasters, zip line through a canyon or climb beautiful snow capped mountain. A week to remember and tell your kids and grandchildren about.
